KINDL - Center For Contemporary Art, Berlin. Part of POLY. A fluid show curated by Solvej Ovesen. September 2023 - February 2024. Opening held during Berlin Art Week 2023.
Works shown include the entire collection of Mikey’s AI Fashion collection ‘LATENT COUTURE’, his SuperRare genesis ‘I am you you am I’, as well as ‘The Queen Painting’, ‘PAINTED #1 & #4’, ‘Queensland’, ‘Lunaria’ along with many of his costumes designed by Don Aretino.
Mikey performed an immersive solo concert on the opening night during BAW, intertwining a set design of physical paintings & digital art made in collaboration with AI.

LATENT COUTURE
LATENT COUTURE takes a stand about what it means to make a fashion statement in collaboration with AI. 555 AI fashion statements generated from photographs of Woodbridge's years of experience as a performer, painter, designer, and nightlife icon.
A look is a meme, a communicative unit that encapsulates a belief about what a human being can be. Each of these fashion statements says, ‘This person is possible.’ Making these statements on blockchain, they each become a token that serves as a vessel for the cultural currency of a possible person. I view generative AI fashion as the opposite of the deepfake – it reaches into the latent space to find the deepreal, the force of possibility that enables us to break the cycles of cultural reproduction. Unfashion the patterns. Take a walk down the runway of the latent space.

Mikey's canvases come to life in a digital form without losing the power of their physical presence. We created interactions between the canvas and the body to transform the two-dimensional image into a place.
